In  days  gone  by, Woodson County Hosted 72 rural  one room
school houses.   Shari Cordell  Allen,  grand-daughter  of   Cora Edna Belle 
Pickering,  visited  the Woodson County  Museum  and  sat  at  the  desk
once  occupied by her grandmother.  
Grandmother stands watch.     Cora  married  George Cordell.



In the picture with Shari at her desk are to the right of the manikin,
Kimberly Allen, great granddaughter who is also a teacher, to the
left of the manikin Kerry Allen great granddaughter-in-law.  Children
are Christopher Allen, Nicholas Furtado, Michael Furtado, Shari, Jessica
Furtado and Kaitlyn Allen all great great grandchildren of Cora
Pickering Cordell.


In the jail picture are Nicholas  Furtado,  Christopher  Allen,  Michael
Furtado, Kaitlyn Allen and Jessica Furtado great, great grandchildren
of Cora Pickering and George Cordell  of Woodson County
